David and I met at a friend's New Year's Eve party five years ago and really hit it off. We did most of our dating in the winter since that’s when we got together. So we thought it fitting to have a January wedding. We chose a beautiful historic venue downtown that had tall windows looking out on the snowy city streets. I chose an off-white lace dress with long sleeves and David wore a classic black suit. All of our guests huddled together inside sipping mulled wine and chatting merrily to stay warm. Our first dance was to a slow song by Frank Sinatra which is special to us. Cutting the multi-tiered cake was fun, and tossing the bouquet went smoothly since there weren't many single ladies left by that point in the evening! As we said our vows with the venue all lit up and snow falling gently outside, I was glad we chose an indoor winter setting to stay cozy on our special day. It truly felt magical sharing that moment with our friends and family all bundled up together.
