Matthew always knew make every holiday special. On Valentine's Day this year, he prepared surprises from the morning to night. As the morning sun rose, I found him in the kitchen preparing my favorite heart-shaped pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. And we had lunch at our usual cafe with stolen kisses between bites. By evening, Matthew had an intimate home-cooked dinner waiting complete with candles. After we finished eating, I thought our Valentine's day couldn't get any sweeter. Matthew presented me with a small jewelry box. Inside was the most delicate eternity band, its sparkling diamond a promise of his endless love. Our love story was one I cherished living each day.
