I’ve always been a terrible secret keeper, especially when it comes to Sophie.
I’ve always been a terrible secret keeper, especially when it comes to Sophie. I had this grand plan for a fancy dinner, but the moment we stepped onto our apartment rooftop to watch the sunset over the city, I knew I couldn’t wait another hour. We were just talking about our future, laughing at something silly, when I realized the ring was burning a hole in my pocket. I didn't have a speech prepared, so I scribbled 'SHE SAID YES!!!' on my hand while she was looking at the skyline, praying she wouldn't turn around too soon. When I finally got down on one knee and showed her the ring—and my messy handwriting—she started crying before I could even get the words out. It wasn't a five-star restaurant or a choreographed event; it was just us, our view, and a promise. That pear-shaped diamond caught the golden hour light perfectly, but honestly? It’s her smile that I’ll remember most.
