For our 55th wedding anniversary, Bob and I knew we wanted something low-key but heartfelt. We decided to compile old photos, cards, and memories into a scrapbook. When our adult children and grandchildren arrived, I proudly showed them pages documenting our life together - pictures from our wedding, cards from early birthdays spent as parents, snapshots from vacations past. As we reminisced over afternoon tea in the garden, laughter and tears were shared. It warmed my heart to see generations learn the story of how our love blossomed and endured. This intimate gathering honored our 55 years of marriage perfectly.
