This was Sean and my first Christmas together after a whirlwind year of falling in love. I wanted our celebrations to be extra special. On Christmas Eve, I surprised him with tickets to visit my family in Galway for the holiday. As we drove through the snowy countryside listening to carols, Sean held my hand. "Thank you for including me in your traditions - it means so much." On Christmas morning, over coffee by the fire, he gave me a heart pendant. "To remember this first Christmas with you," he said softly. Looking at my smiling family and Sean, I knew our future was bright. Introducing him to my roots showed him how much he already felt like home.
