Four years ago, I met Mark at a local surf shop.
Four years ago, I met Mark at a local surf shop. He was buying his first board, and I, an experienced surfer, couldn't help but offer some advice. That chance encounter led to surf lessons, beach picnics, and eventually, love. Our shared passion for the ocean became the backdrop of our relationship. We've chased waves across coastlines, volunteered for beach clean-ups. On our fourth anniversary, Mark wanted to take a walk on our favorite beach at sunset. The sky was doing that amazing thing where it turns all pink and orange. We were walking along the water, and I was just thinking how perfect everything was. Then he stopped, grabbed my hand, and got down on one knee right there in the sand. He pulled out this little box with the most beautiful ring. I was crying (happy tears!), said yes right away, and jumped into his arms. The waves were crashing behind us, and everything just felt... perfect.
