David and I went to the same church as youngsters, but it wasn't until I was 18 and helping with the youth group that we first met.
David and I went to the same church as youngsters, but it wasn't until I was 18 and helping with the youth group that we first met. One chat turned into many and soon he had me smitten. Five years later in 1968, surrounded by our friends and family, we wed in the village church. Now over half a century has flown by, filled with joys, sorrows, and everything in between. To celebrate our sapphire anniversary, our children treated us to a weekend getaway in the countryside. As David and I took our regular stroll around the villag, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for our beautiful life together. All these years later and I'm still just as in love and appreciative of my dear husband as the day we married.
