We met working in our college library five years ago...
We've been together since our college library days, and after moving across three states for my teaching career, our friends kept betting on when he'd finally ask. Last weekend, my sister convinced me to host a small housewarming drinks at our new place, so I actually put on a nice sweater for once. I was in the middle of handing out snacks when Mark grabbed my hand and everyone suddenly went quiet and pulled out their phones. My sister was already positioned on the armchair to get the perfect angle—she's the one who took this photo. I was so busy laughing at our friends' faces in the background that it took me a second to realize he was actually holding a diamond ring. Of course, I said yes then.
