A bunch of my girlfriends and I went on a hiking trip through Tuscany one summer. On our second day, while stopping for lunch in Siena, I literally bumped into Alex - an artist from London who was also traveling solo. We hit it off immediately bonding over our love of travel and appreciation for Italian culture. For the next week we explored more of the countryside together and I fell head over heels. Even after going our separate ways, we kept in touch daily via email and video chat. A year later Alex invited me to spend Christmas with him in London. On Christmas Eve while strolling through Hyde Park, he got down on one knee and proposed. I tearfully said yes! Fast forward to this past May - we decided on a small wedding in the gorgeous mountains outside of Boulder with our closest family and friends. It was the perfect intimate ceremony overlooking miles of bright wildflowers and evergreen trees. Exchanging our vows with that breathtaking scenery as our backdrop is a moment I'll cherish forever. I'm so thankful Alex swept me off my feet in Tuscany, leading us to find our happily ever after together.
