I had no idea where we were going when we packed up the car early on a Saturday morning.

I had no idea where we were going when we packed up the car early on a Saturday morning. Evan is usually very reserved, being an engineer, but I could tell he was excited about his surprise. When we arrived at the trailhead, I was stunned by the beautiful forests and valleys surrounded by giant peaks. We hiked for hours, taking in the fresh mountain air and scenery. Along the way, Evan opened up about how much our life together has meant to him. It was so romantic to hear him express his feelings in such a peaceful, natural setting. Hiking has always been a shared passion of ours ever since we met. Spending the day exploring the mountains together rekindled that spark from when we first fell in love. By the time we returned home tired but happy, I felt so grateful for the wonderful life and family we are building. Evan really knows how to make our anniversary special every year.
