Sean and I had been dating for five years when he proposed during a hike in our favorite state park. We decided to have an outdoor wedding there to commemorate the special place. The big day finally arrived in June - it was perfect weather, sunny but not too hot. All our closest friends and family gathered in a beautiful meadow filled with wildflowers. Sean waited for me at the end of the aisle nervously fiddling with his cufflinks. When he saw me walking towards him, his face lit up with the biggest smile. The ceremony was beautiful - we wrote our own vows and by the end we could both barely get through them without crying tears of joy. After exchanging rings (which we had purchased from SHE.SAID.YES), we had our first kiss as a married couple while our friends and family cheered. The reception that followed in a nearby barn was such a blast, with dancing and delicious food catered by a local favorite. It was the best day of my life celebrating our love with those we hold most dear in a place that will always remind us of where it all began.
