It was five years ago at a friend's birthday party in LA where I first met Sam.
It was five years ago at a friend's birthday party in LA where I first met Sam. I remember he made me laugh all night with his sarcastic sense of humor. We hit it off right away and exchanged numbers at the end of the night. Sam is an engineer and was living in San Francisco at the time, so we started our relationship long distance with trips back and forth on the weekends. After about a year, the distance was getting hard so I decided to make the big move to be with Sam up north. We had been dating for three years when Sam surprised me with a romantic proposal at our favorite beach spot during a weekend getaway. I immediately said yes! We set the date for the following summer and started planning. Our big day finally arrived on a beautiful Saturday in June. We had the ceremony in a lovely garden with all of our family and friends. I'll never forget walking down the aisle and seeing Sam's face - he had the biggest grin! The reception was a blast, we danced and partied late into the night. To this day, our wedding is one of my favorite memories. I'm so glad we found each other and got to celebrate our love with the people we care about most.
