During my time studying at university, I participated in a water resources project that took me to a village in Tanzania, Africa. One day while working there, I noticed a foreigner named Jonathan struggling to fix the village water well due to a language barrier. I stepped in to help with translations, and that's how we began working together regularly. Gradually, we learned that we had a lot in common in terms of interests and hobbies. Jonathan was also very passionate about African culture and wanted to stay longer to work here. One day while chatting, he expressed his liking for me. From then on, our relationship grew much closer. After the project ended and we returned home, we frequently video chatted. Six months later, Jonathan decided to come back to Tanzania. While visiting my favorite spot overlooking the Rocky Mountains at sunset, he got down on one knee and proposed to me with a beautiful moissanite ring representing our first meeting in Tanzania. Filled with joy, I enthusiastically said yes. Every night, I revisit the details of our chance encounter and how our relationship blossomed. Little did I know that helping a stranger that day would lead me to the love of my life. I'm thankful Jonathan came back, and grateful to She said yes for accompanying us throughout this journey. Living in Tanzania with the man of my dreams continues to feel surreal but feels like home. Wherever life takes us, I know our love will last forever.
