We originally met in college - I was a freshman and she a senior. I instantly fell for her wit and charm. We had our first date at a nearby dive bar where a brawl broke out, dousing us both in cheap beer. Miraculously, Sarah agreed to a second date and the rest is history. Three decades have passed in what feels like the blink of an eye. I work as an engineer, though I'll always think of myself as that lovesick boy who tripped into her life. To celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we planned a weekend getaway to our first apartment in downtown Seattle. Pulling open the squeaky front door was like stepping into a time capsule. As the city lights twinkled outside, I couldn't imagine a life without Irma. She is my constant, the love of my life. I'm grateful everyday for the chance encounter that led us here.
