Tyler and I had been engaged for over a year when we finally set a date for our wedding. With Tyler's unpredictable schedule as a firefighter, we wanted something more contained than an outdoor affair. I picked an elegant hotel ballroom that could accommodate all of our guests. On the big day, my best friend did my hair and makeup while I got ready. When the music started, I walked down the aisle and saw Tyler grinning from ear to ear in his dress uniform. We wrote our own vows about embracing life together. For our first dance, Tyler even dipped me low which turned a few heads. The plated dinner was delicious. Cutting the multi-tiered cake brought laughter. As the night wound down, my feet hurt but my heart was full being wife to my hero. Dancing the evening away with Tyler inside those beautiful walls made the indoor venue feel just right.
