It was at a crowded art gallery that I first laid eyes on Oliver.
Art has always been an important part of my life, so on Saturday evenings I often explored the monthly walks around Melbourne. That's where I first saw Oliver in the park, immersed in installing his sculptures. I was intrigued by his expression and skill. When our eyes met, I felt an unexpected connection. We talked for hours about his art. Over the following years, our friendship deepened into love. As our 9th anniversary approached, I wanted to find a meaningful way to celebrate Oliver, my soulmate and inspiration. After much thought, I decided to create a handmade scrapbook chronicling our journey through photos, letters and special reminders from each year together. Flipping through the pages with Oliver, we smiled at how far we'd come and the future still to write. I was grateful to have found such a loving partner to walk through life beside.
