On the day of our 4th anniversary, Sam and I didn't feel like doing anything fancy to celebrate so I suggested we walk around the neighborhood like we used to do.

On the day of our 4th anniversary, Sam and I didn't feel like doing anything fancy to celebrate so I suggested we walk around the neighborhood like we used to do. The evening air felt nice as we chatted about work stress, the leaky roof we can't afford to fix yet, you name it. Along the way Sam grabbed my hand, a simple gesture that made my whole day a bit brighter. Sure, life is hectic and tiring most days but having someone by my side who knows all my messy bits makes it all worthwhile somehow. I'm glad we'll be facing it all together for another year at least.
