Hannah and I were at a coffee break during one of the teacher workshops in London, chatting about our experiences in the classroom. We just seemed to click right away, finding that we had so much in common in how we approached our work with students. Before I knew it, hours had passed as we delved into deep conversation. I was fascinated by her passion for the subject and her creative ideas. That evening, Hannah suggested we check out Big Ben since neither of us had seen it up close. Walking along the Thames together, I was in awe of not just the sights but the easy companionship between us. As the lights of London reflected off the river, I felt myself opening up to Hannah in a way I hadn't with anyone in a long time. When it was time to part, I didn't want the night to end. We exchanged numbers, and our daily explorations of the city continued from there. I think what I appreciate most about Hannah after all these years is that she truly understands my world. She gets what drives me to always strive to help students succeed. Having her by my side through every achievement and challenge makes this career even more rewarding.
