I was distracted, trying to take a video of the waves, when I felt him take my hand. But instead of just holding it, he stopped and guided my hand to rest inside his palm. I looked down, and this stunning round diamond was right there. He just smiled and said, ‘I want to start every new adventure with you.’ It was completely simple, utterly surprising, and everything I never knew I wanted.
