I was lucky enough to have an amazing father who was always there for me when I growing up.
I was lucky enough to have an amazing father who was always there for me when I growing up. He showed me how to be resilient when times got tough and how to never give up. No matter what life threw our way, my father was always there with a smile, a hug, and words of encouragement. This Father's Day held extra special meaning as it was my first since getting married last year. Dad has been so supportive of my husband Peter and I can't thank him enough for all he's done. To celebrate, I arranged a backyard barbecue with all of dad's favorite foods. As guests arrived, dad's smile grew seeing old friends. While dad chatted with neighbors, Peter and I strung up a banner reading "Congratulations Grandpa!" When I called dad over, the look of shock and joy on his face was priceless. I was glad to share this good news on Father's Day.
