Our engagement story is one of love, patience and commitment. It all started when we met at a party in college. I was immediately drawn to him and his kind demeanor, and we soon became good friends. He also happened to be my best friend's cousin, which added to the connection. As we got to know each other better, our friendship grew into something more. We started spending more time together and going on dates. After months of getting to know each other, we decided to take the next step and get engaged. We picked a beautiful location to propose, and I was overjoyed when he got down on one knee. We held hands, shared a few tears and said yes – we were ready to take on the world together. We now look back on our engagement story with fondness.
