I remember it like it was yesterday. We had been dating for two years and I had been waiting for this moment for what felt like forever. We had gone on a weekend trip to the beach and I had been planning it for months. After a day of swimming and sunbathing, we decided to take a romantic stroll on the beach. As we were walking, I could feel my heart pounding. I knew this was it. When we reached the perfect spot, I got down on one knee and asked her the question I had been dreaming of asking since we had first met. To my delight, she said yes! I remember the look of joy and excitement on her face as I placed the ring on her finger.
