I could barely contain my excitement and nerves as Christmas Eve arrived. I had been planning the perfect way to ask Leah to be my wife for weeks. After our families left from celebrating Christmas together, I asked her to come into the living room. That's when she gasped in surprise. I had decorated the space with twinkling lights, roses, and scented candles to set the scene. But the biggest surprise was the slideshow playing on our TV of all our best memories together from our first date to present. Looking up at the most beautiful woman who had stolen my heart long ago, I got down on one knee and popped the question, her said "Yes!". Slipping the ring on her finger, I was crying. In that perfect moment, with the love of my life by my side and our families cheering in the next room, I knew I would spend forever cherishing Leah as my wife. It was the best Christmas gift I could ever receive.
