Samuel and I were celebrating our silver anniversary. It feels like just yesterday that I was a 20-something falling head over heels for the charming resident doctor I met. After we wed, I continued my studies to become a pediatric nurse. Our daughters are now grown and starting careers of their own. To commemorate our quarter century together, Mark arranged a romantic candlelit dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant. He presented me a beautiful necklace inspired by “Water Lilies”. I'm so obsessed with it. After dinner, we saw a musical stage play. Even after all this time and everything life has thrown our way, Samuel continues to support my dreams and surprise me. I feel beyond blessed to have found my soulmate so early and grow old with my best friend.
