Tim and I chose the beautiful old church downtown with stained glass windows and high ceilings for our ceremony. As I stood at the altar with my dad waiting for the music to start, I watched out one of the windows as the sun shone through the colors. When Tim met me at the end of the aisle, it took everything in me not to cry happy tears. Saying our handwritten vows in front of that congregation and making our promise to one another official was so special. Leaving the church as a married couple and seeing our families and friends celebrating and smiling so big made all the planning worthwhile. That feeling of joy has stayed with us since.
