I could barely contain my excitement as I guided my love Rachel down the winding path towards the beach. Little did she know, all of our friends and family were hiding amongst the dunes ready to surprise her. As the sun dipped low on the horizon, painting the crashing waves in a golden glow, I led her into the open and heard the crowd yell "Surprise!" Rachel gasped and spun around, her hand flying to her mouth in shock. Before she could react, I lowered down to one knee and took her other hand in mine. "Rachel, you are my best friend and partner in crime. Every day with you feels like a holiday. I can't imagine spending my life with anyone but you. Will you marry me and make me the happiest man in the world?" Tears welled up in her eyes as our loved ones watched with bated breath. "Yes!" she finally choked out, pulling me up into a tight embrace as the group erupted into jubilant cheers around us. I'll never forget the look of pure joy and love on her face as I slipped the ring onto her finger, the perfect start to our new adventure together as soulmates.
