It was a gorgeous sunny afternoon as Ryan and I strolled hand in hand down to Sydney Harbour.
It was a gorgeous sunny afternoon as Ryan and I strolled hand in hand down to Sydney Harbour. The water glistened brilliantly under the clear blue sky. When we reached the towering grey arches of the Harbour Bridge, Ryan led me to stand underneath its massive frame. As ferries criss-crossed the water behind us, I noticed Ryan seemed nervous yet excited. He turned to face me, taking my hands in his. "Being with you these past years has made me the happiest I've ever been," Ryan said. Then he sank to one knee on the hard concrete. Reaching into his pocket, Ryan produced a small box. My heart leapt as he opened it to reveal a stunning ring. "Emma, will you marry me?" he asked with a beaming smile. Tears sprang to my eyes and I replied "Yes!" through a grin. Ryan slid the ring onto my finger and swept me into his arms under the bridge, overjoyed to start our life together.
