Lucy and I met 4 years ago when she was backpacking after college. We bonded over our shared love of nature and adventure. Every chance we get, we escape into the coastal rainforests and Great Barrier Reef that I'm so passionate about protecting. For our 4 year anniversary, I planned a multi-day camping and snorkeling trip to a private island. On the last night by the beach campfire, surrounded by a blanket of stars, I knew I wanted this to be our new home forever. I poured my heart out to Lucy about how she has become my sanctuary and purpose in life. When I pulled out the ring, she gasped in surprise before throwing her arms around my neck in tears, shouting "Yes!" We sailed into the sunset engaged, eager to embark on our next chapter exploring the natural wonders of Australia together as husband and wife.
