Me and Jacob were both doing some long-term traveling after college. I was taking a year off before grad school and he had just quit his desk job to see the world. We ended up in the same hostel in Thailand one night and really hit it off.Turns out we both loved exploring new places. We became travel buddies, bouncing all over Southeast Asia. Even after our trips , we didn't want to say goodbye. Now it's been 7 years and Jacob is still my favorite travel partner. To celebrate our anniversary, he took me on a picnic at our favorite local park. I had no idea what he was up to. But after we finished eating, Jacob started fumbling in his pocket. Then he pulled out a simple but classic wedding ring. Sliding the ring on my finger, I couldn't stop smiling as I thought about all the adventures we've had together so far. Who would've thought the random strangers who met backpacking would lead to this? Jacob truly is my soulmate and best friend.
