We decided to invite our closest friends over to celebrate our 35th anniversary at home.
We decided to invite our closest friends over to celebrate our 35th anniversary at home. I spent all morning in the kitchen cooking up all of Janice's favorite dishes - lasagna, garlic bread, and a big salad. While I worked, Janice bustled around decorating the house with photographs from our wedding day and scattered moments from our lives together over the past 35 years. By the time our friends started arriving with bottles of wine and baked goods, the house was filled with warmth, both from the food and decor. It was so special to reconnect with people who had known us since we first started dating in college. We shared memories and laughs late into the evening. As more drinks were poured and stories traded, I looked around at our friends with such appreciation. They had watched our relationship grow and supported us through all the challenges over the decades. Their presence at our little gathering reminded me how grateful I am for our community and all the joy they have added to our lives together.
