Three years had passed since we wed on this date, and Christmas dinners here had become our tradition. As we chatted and sipped wine, I remembered our engagement on this very spot. Jenna's smile was as radiant as ever, reflecting the happiness our life together had brought. I was thankful every day for the joy she brought to my world. During a lull in conversation, I reached into my pocket and took out a small box. "My love, I wanted to remind you how much you mean to me," I said, opening the box to reveal the ring I had purchased just for her. She gasped in delight at the ring, leaning in for a loving kiss. As the other diners applauded our affection, I was grateful for the blessings of family, great food, and three wonderful years as husband and wife. This Christmas in Australia was perfect indeed.
