A few years ago, I met someone at work who would change my life in ways I never imagined.
A few years ago, I met someone at work who would change my life in ways I never imagined. From the moment we met, I felt a deep connection to this person. Even though we came from different backgrounds, we just seemed to understand each other on a profound level. What started as friendship quickly blossomed into something more. It was not always easy for us. As queer individuals, we both struggled at times with self-acceptance. But having each other to lean on made all the difference. They became my greatest supporter, helping me learn to embrace all parts of myself. Our bond has only strengthened throughout the years. Now, looking back on our anniversary, I am filled with gratitude. This relationship has taught me so much about devotion, commitment and unconditional love. While our journey has not always been simple, choosing to build a life together has been the best decision I have ever made. This person sees and accepts me for who I am at my core. With him, I am free to be fully myself. For any couples facing adversity due to who they love, my wish is that you find the courage to love boldly. Life is short - don't spend another second denying your truth or happiness. You all deserve to love out loud.
