Jennifer and I had only been dating a short time when she got into medical school across the country. I knew right away that her career was too important to stand in the way of long distance. So I transferred jobs and we've been making it work ever since through endless text threads, video chats when our schedules allow, but most importantly an unbreakable bond. These last two years have had their challenges but our connection has only deepened with that hard fought time apart. To celebrate, I planned a surprise trip back home for our anniversary. Being together again, even just for a few days, was the perfect reminder of why our relationship is worth any challenge. She's my person for life.
