I had been planning this night for months, wanting it to be extra special as Laura is truly the most wonderful woman I've ever known. On Christmas Eve, I told her to dress nicely as I had a surprise planned. I drove us up the resort where we had first date. When we had a nice dinner, I bent down on one knee. Taking her soft hands in mine, I looked up at Laura's beautiful smiling face, telling her through happy tears how she completes me and makes every day brighter. When I asked if she'd do me the honor of becoming my wife, she squealed "Yes!" and threw her arms around me. Slipping the ring onto her finger, we kissed. Her rosy cheeks looked lovelier than any painting. Our families then appeared, cheering with heartfelt grins. Laura teased me for planning such an elaborate surprise. But seeing her happiness made all the effort worthwhile. I couldn't wait to spend forever with my stunning bride to be.
