Well I’ll be, has it really been 45 years since I met my Bonnie?
Well I’ll be, has it really been 45 years since I met my Bonnie? We seen and done it all in our days. We've sure lived a full life together, my Bonnie and me. Raised the kids, watched the grandbabies grow, got to enjoy our golden years travelin' all over God's green earth. Along the way we weathered all sorts of storms but her smile always kept me going.To mark our sapphire anniversary I took my girl back to that little church where it all began those many years ago. We two slowpokes in memory lane, laughin' at all the young'uns runnin' around like we used to. Gotta say, after near half a century this ol' coot is still head over heels for his bride. I thank the good lord every day for blessing me with a woman as special, and sweet as my Bonnie. Hope we got more years of living left in us yet!
