Emily and I have known each other since our freshman year of college.
Emily and I have known each other since our freshman year of college. We bonded over our love of history and spending hours at the campus coffee shop debating political issues. After dating all through college, Jason proposed to Emily at our favorite spot - the botanical gardens near campus. For our 10th wedding anniversary, we wanted to do something really special. We decided to go back to where we first met - Chicago. We spent the weekend walking around campus, reminiscing about our college adventures. It was fun to see how much yet how little had changed. One evening, we returned to the botanical gardens. As the sun was setting, I took Emily's hands and we just gazed into each other's eyes, thanking our lucky stars for the wonderful life we have built together. In that moment, all those years of laughter and love and partnership felt like a dream. Being with Emily still gives me butterflies like it was our first date. I can't imagine a better person to take this journey called life with. Happy anniversary my love.
