As our 25th wedding anniversary approached, Barbara wanted to do something extra special to celebrate.
As our 25th wedding anniversary approached, Barbara wanted to do something extra special to celebrate. Rather than any ceremony, she decided to spend quality time with family on this important day. We invited close friends and relatives for a home-cooked family dinner. Over the past 25 years, we had supported each other through various difficulties in life. That evening, I surprised Barbara with a delicate necklace as a gift. In the centerpiece laid a emerald-cut aquamarine, her birthstone. "Thank you for being by my side for the past 25 years. Every day I choose to be with you again," I said as I fastened the necklace around her neck. After enjoying our meal together, we danced together.
