Emma and I have always laughed that our wedding was doomed from the start - it rained torrentially all day! But looking back I think the rain just added to the magic of the moment. We'd been introduced by mutual friends 5 years ago and it was literally love at first sight. After dating long distance for a year while she finished her Master's abroad, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. The ceremony was beautiful despite the downpour. As Emma walked down the aisle in her gown, completely soaked, she had never looked more radiant. Exchanging our vows, I forgot about everything except the incredible woman in front of me. Dancing in the rain as husband and wife during our first dance will always be one of my favorite memories. The storms could not dampen our happiness on what was the best day of our lives.
