Growing up, my family spent every summer at our cabin on a lake in northern Minnesota.

Growing up, my family spent every summer at our cabin on a lake in northern Minnesota. It holds so many special childhood memories that I've always dreamed of getting married there. On our wedding day in late August, my now-wife Julia and I canoed out to a small island on the big lake. We stood by the lake, illuminating Julia in a beautiful glow as we recited our vows with loons calling in the distance. Following the intimate ceremony, we enjoyed cocktail hour on the back porch overlooking the water, taking in the beauty all around us. That evening, string lights were strung through the towering pine trees as we danced with family and friends under the vast starry sky, celebrating the start of our life together in the most magical outdoor setting. It was the perfect lakeside wedding we had envisioned.
