Max and I bonded over our shared passion for exploring Bavaria's rich history on weekend trips throughout the region. Discovering the many romantic castle ruins together soon blossomed into love. After two years, Max surprised me with a picnic proposal amidst the crumbling walls of a countryside ruin, taking in the breathtaking scenery around us. On our wedding day, we said "I do" outside in the courtyard of another ruined fortress. Family and friends traveled from all corners of Bavaria to celebrate with us under strings of lights amongst the fading stone walls. We enjoyed traditional foods, folk dancing and cake long into the night. As the stars shone above the ruins, our first dance felt like a dream. Sharing this meaningful day with our community in this magical, historic setting will forever be a cherished memory of our life together in beautiful Bayern.
