Sarah works tirelessly as a nurse, constantly on the go taking care of our family. On top of her long shifts at the hospital, she manages the household and ensures our daughters are fed, bathed and off to school each morning. I wanted to show my appreciation for all she does on Mother's Day. After the kids were tucked into bed one evening, I asked Sarah to join me in the living room. With nerves in my stomach, I presented her with a small jewellery box. When she opened it to find miniature pictures of our smiling girls gazing back at her, her eyes immediately welled up with tears of joy. My efforts finding the perfect, sentimental gift were rewarded in that moment of pure gratitude and love shining from her face.
