I knew Mom would love the sapphire necklace I got her. She's never been one for flashy jewelry, but the subtle sparkle of those gems is just her style. Our family has been through a lot these past few years - Dad's illness, my sister's divorce. But Mom's been our rock. She's at every soccer game and parent-teacher conference, making sure we're all taking care of ourselves. I just wanted to get her something special to show how much we appreciate everything she does. On Mother's Day, her eyes lit up the moment she opened the box. She gave me the biggest hug and hasn't taken the necklace off since. It was so worth it to put a smile on her face.
