Every Christmas Eve, Mark and I have a tradition of buying the kids one special gift each to open before bed. This year, Emma had been going on about a charm bracelet she saw at SHE.SAID.YES. Mark carefully selected the perfect charms--a ballet shoe, a book, and a star bracelet. As soon as she unwrapped the glittering box, Emma burst into tears of happiness. "Thank you, thank you!" she sobbed as she hugged us both. Watching our daughter cherish that bracelet has become my favorite part of Christmas. Even as they grow up, these little family traditions are what make the holidays so special.
