Maryann and I celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary through music. We invited friends and family over for an old fashioned dance party in the backyard. As twilight fell, familiar tunes from the 50s and 60s era drifted from speakers. Donning our best threads from way back when, we swung across the patio just like during our actual reception so long ago. Laughter echoed amongst the group watching two aging lovers lost in their own world on the makeshift dancefloor. Snapping pictures throughout revealed beaming grins of two still bright-eyed for one another after over half a century. Rekindling that youthful flame of musical romance made for memories to last forever.
