I couldn't have been more proud of Emily on graduation day.
I couldn't have been more proud of Emily on graduation day. She has worked so hard for the past four years, taking challenging classes, doing volunteer work, and maintaining a high GPA. I remembered when she was just starting kindergarten and crying because she didn't want me to leave. Now here she was, all grown up and ready to head off to the University of Washington in the fall. To celebrate her accomplishments, I wanted to get Emily something special. When I saw a with her initials, I knew it was perfect. On the day of her high school graduation, I gave it to her as her gift. The look of surprise and joy on her face made all those early mornings driving her to activities worth it. Wishing Emily the best as she starts a new chapter in her life, I'm grateful for the memories of her graduation we'll now share whenever she wears that necklace.
