Our 9th wedding anniversary was extra special this year. Cameron surprised me with a weekend getaway to a bed and breakfast in the countryside. It was the perfect escape from our busy lives in the city. We met nearly 15 years ago in a cafe near my university. I was studying to be a teacher and Cameronhad just started his first job in the city. We struck up a conversation about the book I was reading and really hit it off. We started dating soon after and our relationship just grew from there. He's truly my best friend. To celebrate our anniversary, we took long walks through the rolling green hills and cozy pub lunches by the fire. It felt just like when we were dating - quiet evenings chatting for hours and lots of laughter. My favorite memory was stargazing together in the garden. Being away from the kids, jobs and daily bustle let us really reconnect and remember what made us fall in love all those years ago. I'm so lucky to be sharing my life with Cameron.
