When John and I first moved to Tokyo for work, it was overwhelming adjusting to the bustling energy of the city. One day while exploring the Shinjuku district, I spotted John admiring an impressive skyscraper, instantly captivated by his piercing observations. We struck up a conversation about design and were stunned by our many shared perspectives. Our relationship blossomed as we traversed the city streets hand in hand, nourished by shared enthusiasm for design. Those years in Tokyo ignited our passion and partnership. Eight years after meeting, though now calling New York City home, the inspiration of our time there remains. John continues to fuel my creativity, and I'm grateful every day for the love we first discovered beneath Tokyo's iconic skyline. Wherever our journey leads, that enduring affection will light the way.
