We met while he was training to become a police officer. Our first date was at the local amusement park, where he won me a stuffed bear at the shooting game. As we celebrated our first wedding anniversary, busy schedules had made quality time together rare. But Joseph arranged a surprise - he took time off work to take me back to that same amusement park. At the top of the ferris wheel during sunset, Joseph opened up a velvet box to reveal a balloon dog necklace. I loved it so much let he place it around my neck.Though he couldn’t always be home, I felt his love through thoughtful gestures on days like this. Even with his demanding job, he prioritized making me feel special and cherished.
