Jane and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary, and I still think back fondly on how we first met and fell in love. We were both 25 at the time. I had just started my photography business and Jane was working as a graphic designer. A friend of mine had hired me to shoot his wedding and I was immediately drawn to Jane when I met her at the rehearsal dinner. She had this bubbly personality that lit up the whole room. I made sure to ask her to dance at the reception and we really hit it off. After the wedding, I asked Jane out for coffee and we started dating. At first, we took things slow, meeting up on weekends for meals out or trips to museums. But soon we were spending every free moment together. Jane made me laugh like no one else and we could talk for hours without running out of things to say. I knew she was special when I realized I could just be myself around her. About 8 months after we started dating, I asked Jane to move in with me. I was so nervous but she said yes! Living together felt natural. We'd cook breakfast on Saturday mornings, snuggle on the couch watching movies, and take our dog on long walks. Being with Jane made me so incredibly happy. On our 1st anniversary, I asked her to marry me. Our wedding was small and intimate, full of joy. Now 4 years later, I'm still amazed that I get to come home to my best friend every single day. I can't wait to see what the coming years bring!
