I was so excited for Valentine's Day this year, having only been dating Mark for a few months.
I was so excited for Valentine's Day this year, having only been dating Mark for a few months. We had talked about cooking dinner together at his place, but he refused to give me any details on the plans. When I arrived, the apartment was filled with the aroma of baking cinnamon rolls and roses decorating every surface. Mark greeted me with a single rose and sweet kiss. In the kitchen, ingredients were laid out for us to cook, laughing and stealing bites of the dough. With Mark's guidance, I learned new cooking skills as we easily chatted away the hours. Once dinner was served with candles glowing, I was blown away by how delicious and romantic it all was. After dinner, Mark presented me with a small gift. When I unwrapped the package, I gazed at a simple yet elegant necklace. The pendant was a tiny heart-shaped neckalce. Thankful for such a wonderful gift on this Valentine's Day.
